IM2000 Smith-maskine

IM2000 Self Spotting MachineReview
Best gym equipment for your home. The IM2000 is the absolute staple in home gym fitness. With its small 4x4 foot print there is absolutely no rival for what it can do for its size. The design is so simple yet pure genius, and you can tell a lot of thought went into this machine. Cable workouts ranging from lat work to cable bicep curls, free weight bench press, Smith machine shoulder work. You name it can do it and do it extremely well. I just ordered the new olympic bar holders and spotting arms and can't wait to get them.

Awesome, full-range machine in a small package. I had mine customized to fit my shorter basement ceilings (had a couple inches taken off at the factory) and it has met my needs well. I have been working out for years and wanted to add a leg press and smith machine element to my home gym. My space is limited and the Ironmaster 2000 met my specs, particularly that it is multifunctional and can handle serious weight. It and the bench are solid, quality products that have met my needs at 500+ for leg presses and 400+ for squats...

Best Machine on the Market This machine is amazing! It allows me to get all my workouts in right at home without taking up to much space. If you are looking for a machine that does everything you need this is it. My home gym is now complete thanks to my IM2000. The Ironmaster team provides top of the line products along with excellent customer service. The only thing I regret is waiting this long to make my purchase, so don't hesitate if you are building a home gym this is a must!!!!

Awesome
Works well, I reccomend.

IM2000 is Fantastic
This equipment is a thing of beauty. My wife (who doesn't lift and never did, although she's athletic, a skier, yoga, etc.) came back from an overseas trip today (she missed the delivery, the install, and the cleanup) to find all this neatly set up and ready to go, including the alien-looking organizer w/ all the attachments hanging on it, and said, "It looks fantastic". It does.

Very pleased with system. Works as advertised.
Key points:
- straight forward assembly
- extremely stable with nice solid components
- minimal yet adequate foot print
- smooth bushing action and easy disengagement of the carriage hooks
- smooth cable system
- nice recoil springs to eliminate major noise when lowering the bar or to provide a spot

All and all very well thought out Minimalist approach to home gym system with commercial grade components.

Strongly recommend to anyone looking to forego or to supplement to their commercial gym membership!

Great Machine!
This is the machine you want--whether or not you know it right now. The quality, safety features, and customer service are all terrific. The safety features mean I can lift on my own--my wife even started lifting once we got this put together. The footprint is smaller than I thought it would be.

Overall, this is a great piece of equipment.

Great Smith Machine
Works for bench, and squat. High quality, and rarely needs lubricant to be applied.

Fantastic
I have been blown away with the quality of this equipment. If you are on the fence about investing in an IM2000 and the bench with some attachments, i would highly recommend you go for it. You will not be disappointed. All the equipment, bench, etc are impressive and built like tanks. The self spotting rack is smooth, the bench is solid, the leg extension piece is solid as well. I'm really glad i went with this system for my home. I would agree with all the other 5 star reviews that have been posted. I really love it and have been re-energized into lifting and using this machine for all it can do.

Excellent home gym
The IM2000 is rock solid and extremely versatile. The bar slides like silk on the rails. I feel very safe using it solo. It's the ultimate foundation for any serious home gym.

Fantastic Machine and Outstanding Customer Service
The IM2000 machine is fantastic. It is well-built and has a relatively small footprint. It is commercial gym quality. I also have the super bench and a number of accessories which all work better than expected. The Ironmaster customer service is also outstanding. You will not be disappointed.

Best Smith Machine!
I've been an Ironmaster customer for decades. I've got three sets of Quick Lock Dumbbells, three stands, Heavy Handles, longer Locking Screws, a pair of Kettlebells, and a Super Bench with lots of accesories.

Years a ago I owned a linear bearing smith machine and recently decided to get a new one. I was a little skeptical of the IM2000 but since all of the other Ironmaster equipment I have is top notch I decided to give it try. Is it really smooth? YES! So glad I didn't get another linear bearing smith as this one is perfect. Besides the smooth operation and low maintenance, I really lke that the lockout holes are so closely spaced. I definitely recommend the IM2000.

Get Home Addition
The first thing you'll notice is the quality of this machine. Definintely not the cheap feel you get at the sporting goods outlets. Assembly was very do-able by myself but some extra hands would've been helpful. This is a machine I have been wanting for years and very happy that I was able to get it now that I have room for it. Zero regrets. It helps fill in the exercise gaps that sometimes plague home gyms.

Exceptional Value
My family recently purchased the IM2000 after doing quite a bit of research. This is, I think, the absolute best value at this price point. You would have to spend quite a bit more in order to exceed the capability and versatility of this machine. The design is well thought out, the function is very smooth and seamless. My son an I were able to assemble the entire piece of equipment with the Ultimate chin up bar accessory in under two hours. On a side note, the packaging was unbelievable. Great care was taken to ensure nothing was damaged in shipment, It is rare to see this these days. My wife and I have a completely new work out routine because we are now able to do so many more new exercise variations. My son loves the chin up bar, so do I. The pulley system is very smooth (Iron Master included dry silicon lubricant in the shipment, awesome) and very easy to set up for upper or lower use. The machine is very stable under load, and the foot print is space saving. I left about two feet between the wall and the back of the equipment to store accessory bars/attachments and it is still a space saver. I am very satisfied with this machine and wish I had purchased one sooner. I can actually say that it exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this equipment to anyone interested in a serious yet affordable home gym set-up

Received the machine a few of weeks ago. Assembly was a little difficult for one person, but not impossible. Better with two, though. From a performance perspective I am pleased. I'm still formulating a workout routine, but I feel confident I can manage most of the common exercises within the parameters of what the machine can do. I am especially pleased with the size. For what it can do it takes up very little room, less than I had envisioned. So what's my regret? I made my purchase just a couple of weeks shy of the Fourth of July sale, where they knocked off 15%. Had I known that was coming, I would have waited just a bit. All in all, though, I am very pleased that I chose the Ironmaster over a traditional Smith.

I’ve been using the IM2000 for a little over two years and I’ve gotta say I just Love this machine! It was a gift from my wife for my 55th birthday. She was sick of hearing me complain about dumping my barbell first on my chest, and then to the floor after failing my last rep. Man that used to really tick me off. Well, the IM2000 is the answer. I can now max out my reps SAFELY ! To be honest, I was a bit skeptical of a smith type machine without a bearing rail system. I thought the sliders on the rails would have a tendency to “stick”. I assembled the IM2000 myself in less than two hours without any problems. The instruction manual was very legible. And to my delight, the bar moved up and down with NO sticking whatsoever. Soooo smooth! All the attachments and accessories we’ve purchased are extremely well made and also have a nice smooth action. It takes no more than a minute or two to swap out cables for your next set of exercises. We had minimal space in our exercise room but the IM2000 fit with room to spare. This is a very versatile piece of equipment and for the money, you won’t find a better quality home gym system. I would strongly recommend the wheel kit for the super bench because it’s a beast.
